it dosent matter how old is the first sound card in your not very good in comparison with the Sound Blaster
I remember the sound cards sometimes conflict with the motherboard

Any sound card will be better than your motherboard in particular, a SoundBlaster card:)
Almost all sound cards is better than the internal noise.
